Responsible for electronics related AIT activities throughout the manufacturing process of the Simera Sense CubeSat imagers, with a specific focus towards:- Automation of production - Automation of validation testing- Automation of environmental testingResearch and Development development activities included:- The development of an imager electronics emulator in Python- The development of various Python APIs used to interface with lab equipment and automate development testing activities- Optimization of existing Python libraries and APIs which are used during production activities on imager optics

My previous experience with UAV systems development and integration placed me in an optimal position to take technical lead on various bespoke technology development projects. My responsibilities and relevant skills development included:- Modular machine-vision systems design, development and integration- Real-time image processing software development on machine-vision edge devices- Project management and planning through Wrike- Holistic planning of advanced multi-rotor UAV development laboratory- Identification of all in-lab equipment and components to satisfy client requirements- Conceptualization, manufacturing and commissioning of advanced immersive multi-rotor simulator- Identification and procurement of all components required for comprehensive multi-rotor development capability Other skills development on smaller ad-hoc projects include:- Test and measurement software programming through Labview- Test and measurement hardware setup and implementation- Hardware-in-the-loop control system testing

I was hired by Simera to work as a UAV systems integration engineer. During this time I have been faced with various practical and design challenges pertinent to UAV systems, including:- Execution of flight tests and procedures- Operation of UAV systems (hobby-grade and mil-spec)- Electrical power and data distribution systems- Composite structures layups and manufacturing- Autonomous flight control systems & ground control stations integration

I was hired by Simera Group as a intern to assist them in the building and operation of a heavy-lift quad-rotor UAV capable of carrying heavy payloads. During this time I was exposed to UAV flight control hardware and software, which paved the way for my Master's Thesis and future employment at Simera.

While at Cape Advanced Engineering I assisted with the design of a scrubber used in a bio gas energy generation plant. The scrubber was designed to remove sulfur dioxide from the bio gas using only water.
