The aim of my PhD is to better understand the diagenetic/hydrothermal processes in one of the most important metallogenic province in the world: the McArthur Basin (Northern Territory, Australia) that has remained stable and unmetamorphosed for 1.5 Ga. The studied mineralisation is of different nature (SHMS for several lead-zinc deposits, unconformity-related for uranium ones, breccias for copper) but for most of them a major mineralising event occurred around 1640 Ma. It is therefore interesting to study at basin-scale some of the minerals and fluids crystallised or trapped in the various contexts.This is done by:dating the suitable minerals (uraninite, galena, apatite) by SIMS,characterising the fluids (salinity, homogenisation temperature, metal content) by microthermometry, Raman, LA-ICP-MS and Noble Gas Analysisevaluate the trace elements of REE in sulphides and uraninites by LA-ICP-MS, estimate the temperature of the ore minerals (sphalerite) or their accompanying minerals (chlorite).

Cartography in the Superior Province for 12 weeks every summer. During the field season: part of a team composed of 12 people (assistant manager and manager when the manager was away), preparation of the daily work and repartition of part of the work,outcrops descriptions and sampling,logistics in remote areas (food, material, helicopter, team management).Work in the office: geological maps at the 1/50 000 scale (3000 km² every year),Geological synthesis of the mapping field during the summer season (stratigraphy, metamorphism, structural) Scientific compilation and scientific watch in preparation for the next summer

12 weeks mapping in the James Bay area, in a remote area camp. Planning of the daily routes, sampling, preparation of the samples for the analysis and thin sections.
