About Jo Allen
I am a recent graduate with skills in social media, story-telling, photography, and communication strategies. I am passionate about tackling social justice issues and connecting with local creatives, leaders, and businesses to grow the creative community in Iowa. I would love to offer my specialty in photography, competency in content creation, and constant flow of new ideas.As an LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC focused photographer, it is my personal mission to foster an environment that celebrates inclusivity and joy. Visual representation and inclusivity are at the core of every project I work on. I also have done photography for music festivals, non-profits, universities, and local businesses. In my free time, I enjoy creating accessible and innovative events for the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities. I co-founded the Ames Black Lives Matter chapter to uplift, empower, and educate others.
