With a strong academic background in environmental management and sciences he has specialized in sustainable development, environmental policy and legislation, marine sciences, waste management, environmental impact assessment, climate change, water resources management, coastal zone management and protected areas management.He has led a national environmental regulatory organization (EMA) and a Caribbean regional non-governmental organization (CCA) and was a department director at an international non-government organization (IFAW).
