I am a master's student pursuing Aerospace Engineering at Delft University of Technology, Netherlands, with a focus on Aerospace Structures and Materials. I am an aspiring researcher specialising in UAV design, composite structures and computational mechanics, with a strong research background, academic excellence and achievements, including prestigious scholarships.I have graduated from National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli with B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering Degree, First- Class with Distinction. I have completed my research internship at the Institute of Structural Mechanics and Lightweight Design, RWTH Aachen University, Germany. I was involved in developing a thermal protection system for the re-entry of launch vehicles, in which I investigated the effect of natural convection on heat transfer by performing simulations in OpenFOAM. Previously, I worked on research and modelling of an Amphibian Aircraft during my internship at IIT Bombay. I was also the Vice President at The Third Dimension, which is the Aviation Club of NITT, where I led a dynamic team of aviation enthusiasts and actively work on various research projects and competitions involving the design, analysis, and fabrication of planes and drones. Throughout my journey, I have honed hands-on technical skills while demonstrating strong leadership, problem-solving abilities, and efficient time management to balance academic, research, and extracurricular commitments.I am always eager to learn more, connect with people who share my interests and goals, and apply my skillset to contribute to advancements in the mechanical and aerospace industry.

Bachelor ThesisNational Institute Of Technology, Tiruchirappalli Dec 2023 - May 2024This project involves numerical modelling of flexible heat pipes for space applications. Initially, I worked on simulating the boiling and condensation phenomenon in thermosyphon system using ANSYS FLUENT with multiphase VOF and Lee model. Further, extended the analysis to heat pipes with wicks using a porous media model to study the combined effect of evaporation, condensation, and capillary action. Setup the experiment and recorded data by studying the impact of bending the pipes at different angles (0° to 90°) with varying water infill capacities and power ranges to understand and enhance the performance of the heat pipes. Finally, validated the numerical model with experimental data highlighting reduced thermal conductivity with increased bending angles. -

Summer Research InternRwth Aachen University May 2023 - Sep 2023GermanyThis project involves an analysis of the Thermal protection system of reusable launch vehicles. I performed computational thermal simulations in OpenFOAM software for a composite of phase change material and lattice structure sample by varying heating orientation, size of cell, boundary conditions, and gravity from g to 9g, according to re-entry conditions to determine the effect of convection on thermal performance. I updated the custom PCMLattice solver to the latest OpenFOAM version using C++ in Ubuntu and conducted an extensive literature review to document the suitable materials for re-entry conditions. I observed and documented various plots of Temperature-Time-Liquid Fraction of reduced melting time by increasing gravity and studied the pattern of Rayleigh-Benard convection cells using ParaView, Python and Julia Scripts. -

I carried out an extensive literature review and designed the CAD model of the telescopic wing with a retracting mechanism for various wing planforms in SOLIDWORKS. I also modelled an aerodynamic fuselage integrated with a one-step hull design. -
