Director of Account Management and Business Operations, Global Process Services (GPS - also known in the industry as "Business Process Outsourcing"), IBM Europe. This is a COO role, responsible for the Operations Team that drives not only Revenue, but Gross Profit, Client Satisfaction and Business Controls etc plus incremental signings for existing.

Project Executive (Account Director) on a UK Insurance Client for Infrastructure Outsource. Large Insurance full-scope Infrastructure Outsource Account. Annual revenue > $70m with significant offshore delivery (India & SA).

Reporting to the UK CEO as a member of the Senior Leadership Team, led team of 8 Client Executives, 3 Technical Architects and extended team of 40+ professionals selling the full portfolio of IBM products and services to key Insurance Clients in the UK. Grew $200m business Y/Y with a large services base and closed a $225m highly profitable Infrastructure.

Led a business of 160 people $250m business. Drove transformation of “price selling” to “value selling”. Grew revenue Y/Y > 10% with increased profit.

Led team of 8 senior Client Managers with clients including BA, Kraft, Cadbury. Grew overall revenue by over 15% Y/Y to approx $115m.

P&O Nedlloyd, BAA, Virgin Atlantic. Grew revenue by 7% Y/Y. Moved into this role with a view to succeeding my manager which I did at the end of 2002.

Business Operations Manager for $100m Systems Integration / Application Development Services business focussing exclusively on the Banking Sector. Overall P&L and the business management of 250 professionals. Target setting for senior professionals, forecasting and managing revenue and profitability for a portfolio of projects, large and small.

Managed a $10M portfolio of engagements with full P&L responsibility and resource deployment within the IBM customer set in the City of London (Investment Banking / Capital Markets). Achieved exceptional GP through high value pricing and tight management of costs.

This was my first IBM Manager role. Led a team of 20 IT Pre-sales Support specialists across the UK who did both sales support and some customer chargeable work on pSeries platform (operating system and applications).

Various IBM Hardware Sales Roles – mainly pSeries (UNIX). Delivered excellent results and given increasingly difficult / larger territories and a team leader role. 1993-4 European Competitive Sales Role.

Graduate training programme. Selected as one of two graduates in IBM UK to spend 1 year full time at UCL doing an MSc on full salary as part of the advanced education programme 1988-9.

Responsible for operations and finance. The company was eventually wound down when the NHS set up their own in-house agency which was treated as preferred supplier.
