Through teaching a wide array of EAL ability, across a vast range of ages, my students honed their English Language vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and fluency, working towards improving their individual IELTS scores and adopting English as an additional language. Through utilising basic teaching techniques and developing an engaging, supportive learning environment, I saw progress in speaking, listening, writing, and reading abilities within the short time I was at English Town, forming friendships along the way.

Chemical analysis of alcoholic beverages, malt barley, water, side-products of distillation, and more with applications of HPLC, IC, GC-TEA, GC-FID, spectrophotometry, densitometry, and distillations; maintenance and calibration of various types of chemical instrumentation; thorough UKAS accredited quality control of methods and detailed note-keeping; problem-solving and method development/research; handling of toxic chemicals. This position helped hone my analytical mind and problem-solving skills whilst meeting fast deadlines and large turnovers.

Poolside lifeguarding; operating the till and answering phone calls at reception; customer service; cleaning duties. This position helped develop my communication and teamwork skills whilst also providing experience with significant responsibility and customer support.Swimming Instructor; planning lessons; teaching children techniques; providing assistance if necessary; creating a fun atmosphere for effective learning. This position taught me the basics of teaching, holding responsibility for high quality instruction, and how to best achieve learning goals for children of mixed ages.
