As a Partner in Risk Advisory Services at BDO in Brisbane, I am a governance, risk and compliance specialist with over 25 years’ experience in assurance, internal audit, risk management, compliance management and forensic accounting, particularly in the infrastructure, natural resources and public sectors. From a governance perspective, I am the past-Chair of the Queensland Chapter for the Institute of Internal Auditors Australia.Through my work with Deloitte and BDO across South Africa and Australia on large-scale public infrastructure projects, I have extensive first-hand experience in providing financial and commercial advice during the contract/project establishment, delivery and close-out phases across transport, utilities and social infrastructure.
