Innovus is the university-industry interaction and innovation platform of Stellenbosch University (SU). The Technology Transfer Team in Innovus is responsible for commercialisation of the University's innovation portfolio. This includes more traditional aspects such as IP management and licensing but also the establishment of Spin-Out companies.I work with an awesome team of professionals at Innovus. My focus is primarily on engineering, physical sciences, and agriscience. In my role at Innovus, I've been responsible for taking various ideas from research prototype to successful commercialisation through licensing agreements or the establishment of spin-out companies. I've developed a process to evaluate innovations, classify them and develop business cases for the innovations based on market needs.
