As the Business Area Director at HUB Logistics, a full-service logistics company, my role was to manage Contract Logistics services with a focus on warehousing. I held profit & loss responsibility for this division, demonstrating financial acumen and strategic decision-making abilities. Reporting directly to the CEO and being a part of the leadership team, I played a key role in steering the company's strategic direction.My responsibilities also included nurturing relationships with existing customers, driving new sales, and leading contract negotiations and pricing, showcasing my strong interpersonal, sales, and negotiation skills. Additionally, I have successfully led a business unit turnaround, demonstrating my proficiency in change management and ability to drive operational efficiency.

As the Business Unit Director for Transval, a subsidiary of the Finnish Post and the market leader in 3PL warehousing in Finland, I held a significant role in steering the company's strategic direction. I managed profit & loss responsibility for Posti’s Contract Logistics business under the Transval brand, leading a dedicated team of 900 full-time employees.Our unit provided comprehensive logistics outsourcing services, including warehousing and transportation, to over 250 customers. With an extensive network of 13 warehouses across Finland and the Baltics, we ensured efficient and effective service delivery.My key accomplishments included defining the premise strategy, successfully winning approval from the Posti Group Management Board for strategic initiatives and securing building permissions for new Sipoo warehouse site. These achievements underline my strategic acumen, leadership qualities, and ability to navigate complex environments.

As a forward-thinking person, I specialized in creating innovative business models for supply chain solutions. My role involved transforming business strategies, enabling a shift from contract logistics to comprehensive supply chain solutions, which has broadened the value proposition for customers. My responsibilities also included leading the insourcing of subcontracting, a move which generated substantial savings and quality improvements. I was tasked and successfully implemented strategic business transformation and turnaround program for supply chain solutions.My greatest achievements include executing a turnaround program that yielded significant savings and improved business unit margins. I also developed a new strategy that positioned us as a market-leading supply chain service operator. Additionally, I crafted a premise strategy that optimized space usage by consolidating smaller warehouses into larger, more efficient sites. These accomplishments highlight my strategic acumen, operational efficiency, and transformative leadership.

As the leader of an international development program at Itella Logistics, owned by Finnish Post, I carried budget responsibility for IT, process, and product harmonization across Nordic and Baltic countries. I managed a dedicated team of international specialists, demonstrating my cross-cultural leadership and team management abilities.My role involved driving the implementation of harmonized production processes and management systems from the Road business unit perspective in a global change program. I led the development of efficient service production setups and harmonization in international road transportation, showcasing my strategic planning and execution skills.Additionally, I spearheaded the development of operational processes in international road transportation across Nordic and Baltic countries, along with operational quality and KPI structures. I facilitated knowledge transfer of processes and tools, contributing to the further development of the road freight business.My commitment to continuous improvement led me to share and implement best practices across countries. I also actively participated in the road strategy creation process, further demonstrating my strategic thinking and commitment to business growth.

As the Solution Owner for Global Road Development and IT Solutions, my responsibilities include managing road transport management systems, conducting pre-studies and decision proposals for new systems, and implementing track & trace systems across Nordic and Baltic countries. I have also led process improvements and harmonization in terminal activities as part of the track & trace system implementation.
