He started his career as a volunteer and over the past 10 years while pursuing his education, he has gained experience working in Africa, the Caribbean and the Pacific (ACP) as well as in Europe. He has an in-depth knowledge of journalistic, online media platforms and communications practices to engage with policymakers and businesses in agriculture and rural development across AfricaInspired by agricultural young innovators’ storytelling in Africa and sustainable development issues affecting agriculture, he previously worked with different international media outlets including Farm Radio International, Spore Magazine, and Agritools publishing in Le monde Afrique, El País Planeta Futuro, Wired Italia, Talk Africa, etc.In addition, since 2010, conducting different communication campaigns on family farming, agriculture-nutrition nexus, ICTs for agriculture solutions; he gained a broad experience in field-research on agricultural issues in Africa as well as strong teamwork skills, managing different activities and engaging with various stakeholders to achieve high standards in corporate communication, digital marketing, and social media activities.As the focal point of "Africa Communications Week" in Senegal, he has contributed to raising awareness about the "Africa We Want" - African Union 2063 Agenda and promoting the UN SDGs targetting Africa focused communications professionals, civil society leaders, youth and women. Moreover, he has developed projects and initiatives in partnership with universities, research centers, startups incubators and organizations including Konrad Adenauer Foundation, GIZ, Embassies, UCAD, IPAR, WATHI, IED Afrique, African Agribusiness Incubators Network, AAIN on training and mentoring hundreds youth and women on public speaking, digital marketing, business management and the use of ICT for agriculture.Acknowledging the power of digital to connect, engage and create an impact in agriculture and sustainable development in Africa, he co-founded “WÀTU DIGITAL LAB”, a leading consulting firm specialized in designing digital solutions to enhance communication impact and management of ICT projects in agriculture and sustainable development in Africa.
