Engineering and creativity is my passion. I am a third-year Optical Engineering student at Norfolk State University with a cumulative GPA of 3.8. As a top student in the Engineering program, I proactively participate in workgroups, engineering and robotics organizations, community service for the youth of Virginia, and rigorous engineering projects. I have experience conducting research, compiling and analyzing technical data, and writing detailed reports on various optical and electrical subject matters. The Dean of Engineering also chose me to represent my program as Mr. Engineer 2020. My studies have helped me become a critical thinker and have allowed me to enhance my communication and leadership skills. Known for my interpersonal and communication skills, I excel at building rapport with new people, and I plan to further enhance my skills in future engineering vocations.Skills I pride myself on include:-Optical Instrumentation: Designed a microscopic program to determine the best lenses for detecting microorganisms.- Familiarity with optical instrument design structures: Developed convex and concave lens systems that utilize laser beams to assess magnification.- Collaboration, leadership, and communication proficiency: Led a team of primary school students to participate in robotic car construction projects.- C++ and Python: Created several low-level functioning codes.
