I have always had a passion for technology. At a young age, I assisted my family in sharing how to use a CD Rom and evolving into a love of Gaming upon receiving my first computer at age 5. This was the birth of my Cyber Career, sparking my interest. Curious to learn more, in High School, I enrolled in a vocational program in Information Systems Technology, where I became a member of the National Technical Honors Society and joined the SkillsUSA competition, where I learned a mix of computer fundamentals and was challenged to configure a switch and router and create my own ethernet cable while working on my CompTIA A+. This competition motivated me to gain My CompTIA Network+ Certification. During the summer, I joined ID Tech to learn my first programming language, C++, hosted at The University of Chapel Hill. As my curiosity grew more, and after discovering traditional college was not able to provide me with all the necessities I needed for my career, I looked into other avenues. I joined NYU’s cybersecurity program, where I gained hands-on experience with Windows, Network, Linux, and Cloud Security, along with Python, Ethical Hacking, Digital Forensics, Incident Response, and Game Theory.I have had the opportunity to grow with Cyber throughout my life, and personally, I have experienced the impact of a cyber attack that affected my parents' finances. This opened my eyes to the destruction these attacks can cause and increased my level of commitment to learning and growing in the cyber realm in the hopes of protecting others from similar situations. Passionate to expand my knowledge in the technical arena, I am working towards my Security+ certification, HacktheBox, to increase my understanding of hacking tools and tactics.
