My role in the company was to develop both a synthetic paper for diagnostics as well as the next generation of primer coatings. My work here was included in a patent, where I was awarded as one of the inventors.

The aim was to continue my master thesis project by analyzing the materials I attained there further, in order to publish an article within the research programme Mistra TerraClean. This work resulted in a first authorship publication, see link below. The scope of the work was to modify nanocellulose to prepare new and more selective filter materials for water purification with the special focus on the capture of heavy metals from industrial water effluents.

The work involved advanced polymer synthesis, literature studies, post‐ reaction work‐up and analyses of samples with respect to chemical and physical properties. This work resulted in a second authorship publication.
