Carepoint Healthcare is a Full-service pharmacy providing all different types of medications/therapies to patients including traditional medications, specialty medications,and home infusion therapies.

I oversee the operations of the Greater Chicago Area home infusion branch covering pharmacy, nursing, compounding, clinical programs, ambulatory infusion suite, as well as any other pertinent functions of operations and sales in the market.

As the pharmacy manager with Community, A Walgreens Pharmacy (previously BioScrip) I supervised dispensing of specialty medications, collaborated with non-profit foundations for copay assistance, monitor REMS programs, and kept abreast of the ever changing specialty market to service as a clinical/educational resource to providers in the area. I also helped to develop clinical programs and patient care programs to increase adherence, decrease adverse events, and improve overall patient outcomes for chronic conditions.

I implemented standard operating procedures to grow our presence in the specialty market place in HIV/AIDs, oral oncology, hepatitis C, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, Crohn's disease, and other rare, complex, and chronic conditions. With improved outcomes and recognition in the market I continued growth at over 100% year over year and continued to improve patient outcomes.

As a staff pharmacist at BioScrip I worked primarily in with the HIV patient population helping to increase compliance, develop treatment regimens, provide patient counseling, help with financial hardships. I also provided education for social workers in the state of IN needing credential to provide care coordination to the HIV patient population.
