Hertfordshire

My role within this very large and innovative GP Practice in Hertfordshire (which had a patient list of over 20,000 and a team of 64 clinicians and support) was wide and incorporated direct practice development work and county wide health projects. I also worked closely with the Primary Care Trust and county wide hospital trusts to improve the level of care and co-joined working within Hertfordshire.My main activities included:Management of health initiatives through the locality and participation in health change projects.Improvements in community relationships.Business development including identification and implementation of new business opportunities and defining product development opportunities. Working with other primary care providers, the PCT and secondary care to enhance the health provision within HertsProject management of major change projects and development of the teams through the "fear factor".Active participation in health commissioning at locality and county level.Reviewing all business processes in order to maximise patient care, optimise revenue opportunities and minimise costs.Taking the Practice through EFQM Business Excellence Establishing business process management methodology and benchmarking.

Management consultant specialising in Operations and Logistics. I undertook a number of corporate change management projects incorporating best practice and also provided support to small and developing businesses. My services included project management, process review, team training and management coaching. In addition I provided one to one coaching and training services for people trying to get back into the workplace. The following is an example of one of the consultancy projects I undertook under WTC for Business Ltd.Project led the operational integration of a major company acquisition into the UK Head Office functions. Centralised the UK hardware warehousing into a European hub and project managed the associated operational changes including extensive liaison with European Head Quarters and all financial planning associated with such.Conducted an extensive review of sales order processing and distribution functions and implementation of best practise solutions including staff training.Recruitment of Operations department senior and middle management team.

Responsible for all aspects of group logistics functions including 2 large warehouses, technical workshop, parts stores, third party and own fleet distribution, purchasing and planning and order processing. Project managed significant strategic and business critical projects across disciplines. Also part of the Senior Management Team accountable for group and head office operations.
