In 2018, we conducted the award winning WV Remembers campaign for the Beckley Annual Holocaust Remembrance Day sponsored by Temple Beth El. We have also conducted a small campaign for the Workman and Hill Family Cemeteries in Boone County, WV in 2019. Owston & Owston are winners of 28 PR awards including the following: two "Best in Show" awards (regional & statewide), nine regional first-place Diamond awards, four regional second-place Diamond Merit awards, 12 state first-place Crystal awards, and one state second-place Honorable Mention award.

Involved in professional writing projects including ghost writing several articles that were published in USA Today, The Charleston Gazette, and the West Virginia Board of Medicine Quarterly. Author of several blogs on the topics of genealogy and music. I have been involved in photo restoration and manipulation and have created several CD covers.

Worked on a number of primary research projects that involved historical and genealogical research. Traced all of my lineages back at least to all of my second great grandparents and many far beyond that point. Performed historical research for an unpublished book on the history of Mountain State University. Traced 1200 Civil War soldiers who were part of the 9th Pennsylvania Reserve Volunteer Corps. Operate four genetic genealogy projects and a One-Name Study.

Occasional performer and session musician over the years, songwriter, and former music publisher with an ASCAP affiliation. Primary instruments: mandolin, guitar, keyboards, harmonica, bouzouki, tenor guitar, and various other sundry items.
