I am a Chartered Director, and have specialised in governance development processes since 2003. I have undertaken over 50 governance reviews, and regularly deliver governance training and development support to Boards in all sectors. I have been a course leader for 7 years for the Institute of Directors, delivering both ‘The Role of the Director and the Board’ and 'Leadership for Directors' as part of the Chartered Director programme. I designed and co-delivered the Leading Effective Boards programme at the William J. Clinton Leadership Institute at Queen’s University and the ‘Inspiring Boardroom Leadership’ programme for CIPFA (Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy).I chair the Board of Morrow Communications Ltd and have served on the boards of Ashton Community Trust, New Lodge Arts, Alzheimer’s Society (UK), The Fostering Network (UK), Simon Community NI and VOYPIC (Voice of Young People in Care). I was a Non-Executive Director of the Belfast Health & Social Care Trust for 7 years and Ulster Community & Hospitals Trust for 7 years. I was Director of Shell LiveWIRE (NI) Ltd for 7 years and ACOVO (now CO3) for 5 years.I hold a Masters Degree in Executive Leadership, and a Masters Level qualification in Executive Coaching and Leadership Mentoring. I am also a qualified and experienced mediator and an NLP Practitioner.
