Retirement was not for me at first, so I worked at a convenience store for a year. I worked at Mothers' Day Out, at our church for 3 or 4 years until my health caused me to stop.We moved to Huntsville, AL in 1982 and I worked for Teledyne Brown Engineering for 4 years until a lay-off due to contract expiration. BDM was my next employer for 4 years. Due to a lack of new contracts, my manager's entire branch was layed-off. I started working for Temporary Services as my father was dying of cancer and I wanted to spend as much time with him as possible. I continued with temp. services until I retired with the exception of a year I worked for a subcontractor at NASA until big layoffs and I was caught in the second.Nashville, TN was my home prior to moving to Huntsville, AL. The last 7 years I worked for insurance companies as a Group Claims Examiner. For 3 years I worked as Administrative Assistant at a not-for-profit halfway house. For a year I worked as a Retail Buyer and Assistant Store Manager for a ladies apparrel store. Cummings Sign Company was my employer for 3 years, as a Billing Clerk, Telex Operator, Flexowriter Operator, and last as a Secretary. During these years I worked second jobs as Sales Clerk in ladies apparrel boutiques, a Photographer Assistant, and as a Bookkeeper.In college and high school in Murfreesboro, TN I worked several jobs in retailing.
