Supervisory Attorney
CurrentI have worked at the Social Security Administration since 1990 and have held several different positions there. I have drafted Medicare decisions, reviewed disability policy documents, maintained a database of Social Security disability circuit court decisions, and implemented class actions involving Social Security issues. I have also worked in the Agency's Office of the General Counsel, Office of General Law, and defended the Agency in employment cases and Federal Tort Act claims and investigated salary overpayment issues. I also prosecuted actions involving claimants' representatives who appear before the Social Security Administration and Administrative Law Judge actions before the Merit Systems Protection Board. I am currently a branch chief in the Office of the Chief Administrative Law Judge, who is responsible for overseeing and recommending discipline for Administrative Law Judges who engage in misconduct.
