Current● Direct the operational integrity of the paralegal certification program by developing and executing the agency’s business strategies to drive goal attainment.● Authored standard operating procedures to maintain ethical guidelines and process improvement.● Investigates 40+ complex ethics and compliance complaints involving alleged violations of law, regulations, and rules of professional conduct by gathering witness statements, performing background checks using the North Carolina Judicial Branch ACIS software, analyzing evidence, and preparing investigation reports for submittal to the Board of Paralegal Certification Exemption Committee.● Present 30+ ethics, compliance, and certification presentations yearly for paralegal associations and college paralegal studies programs to effectively educate the public and paralegal students.● Develop content for intranet pages and printed documents to communicate ethics-related concepts including unauthorized practice of law and rules of professional conduct to certified paralegals and the public. ● Create and maintain relationships with sponsors, vendors, community college leaders and other public entities to maintain ethical paralegal integrity.● Performs daily audits of the certification accounting system and investigates fraudulent or inaccurate payments.● Liaised with policymakers in executing best-in-class certification practices and strategies by partnering and providing guidance to multiple certification boards and committees to optimize stakeholder satisfaction.
