With a GIS and engineering background, and over 30 years’ experience in various engineering and GIS projects, Joy's primary role is the development of innovative and high quality GIS-related products in various engineering projects, especially MCA based sites and corridor selections, Urban Planning Digital Twin through ArcGIS Urban, catchment studies. Joy is very clients focused, and clients' need is a key factor to success.Recently, Joy has been appointed as Location Intelligence Service Line Leader APAC for leading technical excellence deliverables. Joy also leads the Location Intelligence Team cross New Zealand for various GIS serveries to projects, including field data collection, data management, MCA-based site / corridor selection and asset rick assessment, GIS web portal development, advanced data analytical, AI & machine learning, image classification, map design and various cartographic maps, 3D visualisation, ArcGIS Online, urban planning Digital Twin, catchment studies, asset data management and project quality assurance control (QA\QC). Joy keeps inspiring individuals in the team becoming the best of themselves by encouraging them learning new skills continuously, and growing together professionally and personally. Joy also keeps her contributions to GHD's global spatial science service line with strong connections by sharing and learning over years.Joy's second role is to support GHD’s business development for Chinese Clients in New Zealand by building strong relationships with some key clients through high-quality deliverables and trust communications.
