Conducted self-directed research in the University of Wisconsin Archives to further the UW Public History Project's mandate of uncovering and publicizing minority histories. Analyzed campus documents, searched databases, and connected with former UW students. Wrote two blog posts for the Public History Project's website about the World War II-era history of Japanese Americans at UW. (https://publichistoryproject.wisc.edu/blog/)

Developed a Canvas website for UW's History Department, initially as an online resource for history instruction. When UW transitioned to online learning due to the Covid pandemic, this site disseminated administrative information about the transition and offered tools to help instructors transition their courses. Job included online research into instructional strategies, website development, document coordination, and collaboration with users to create a site that offered the options needed by instructors.

Served as administrator for The History Lab - UW History Department's writing center for undergraduate history students. Regular duties included supervising graduate student tutors in the Lab, managing work schedules, training new tutors, managing Lab space, and working with tutors to develop handouts on writing techniques. At various times during the year, I coordinated with instructors to advertise History Lab services in classrooms and created reports about History Lab activity. I researched new scheduling software solutions and oversaw the transition to the Starfish system in 2018, collaborating with campus Starfish IT experts to become one of the early adopters as the campus transitioned scheduling programs. All the while, I also tutored undergraduate history students to improve their writing skills and written assignments.

Taught as a Teaching Assistant for a variety of history courses at UW-Madison (Fall 2009, Fall 2014-Spring 2017) including courses on Asian American history, modern U.S. history, and modern South Asian history. These positions involved leading student discussion sections, grading assignments, aligning learning with instructor-driven learning goals/lectures, corresponding with students, managing discussions and updating grades on the course website (Canvas), and generally working with students to improve their learning of course material. I also taught "Introduction to Speech Communication" in the Communication Arts Department as a Teaching Assistant (Fall 2012-2013), working with students in the classroom and during office hours to improve their speech presentation and writing/editing. This included the grading of all class assignments and the facilitation of each class period.

I taught general World History for three years. I also taught various social studies electives: U.S. Civics, Economics, World Geography, and Arts & Humanities. In my free time, I choreographed the spring musicals in 2008 and 2009 and sponsored several student clubs.

I substituted for high school and middle school teachers in fields such as social studies, math, journalism, and special education.
