Create and sustain collaborative partnerships to enhance experience at Seattle Children’s. Assess and advise internal customers on how to best seek patient & family input. Recruit, onboard, train and engage families in advisory opportunities. Key accomplishments:• Family advisory boards: provide strategic and operational guidance and support to launch clinic/program-based family advisory boards; create resource for teams to include patients and families in improvement planning; guided launch of 4 new boards since 2019 and 2 currently in development• “Transition to Adult Healthcare” parent task force: developed new family education materials now distributed via multiple clinic toolkits; coordinated Provider Grand Rounds co-presented by providers and parents; published eight blog posts on two organizational platforms; presented on this 2-year project at the Institute for Patient- and Family-Centered Care international conference in 2019• Family advisor recruiting: increase diversity of family advisors through new recruiting pathways; regularly achieving goal of 10% increase in membership per quarter of which over 75% meet diversity targets• “Being an Effective Family Advisor” training: revamped facilitation materials for new team of trainers in 2019; adapted materials and content for virtual delivery and then for Spanish-speakers in 2020; sustained cadence of 2-3 annual sessions, with consistently excellent evaluation scores
