Supervise a team across the state to provide multilingual trainings and education opportunities to meet occupational health, safety and regulatory standards.Facilitate and extend scientific and applied field research to agricultural operations.

• Manage a tribal home visiting project for expectant Native American parents and caregivers with Native children age 0-5 years old to promote positive parenting techniques and prevent early childhood maltreatment.

• Manage Community Economic Development project including project site development, training, placement, monitoring, evaluation and technical guidance for 40 field Volunteers. • Implement the “Build Your Dreams” national youth business planning initiative &competition with 150+ Dominican youth per year since 2006. • Developed the 5-year performance-based project plan with associated task analysis, KSA inventory and technical learning objectives for training.

• Represent the Peace Corps with the US Mission, host government officials, development agencies & community partners.• Serve as Acting Country Director in their absence. • Manage 30+ staff to support programming and training of 185 Peace Corps Volunteers assigned in 6 technical projects (economic & youth development, health, education, watersanitation and environment.) • Develop Post’s 5-year strategic plan, administer policy and manage operations.• Oversaw implementation of $1.3 million dollars in USAID & PEPFAR grants.• Serve a Contracting Officer's Technical Representative (COTR) to monitor contractor's deliverables of technical, cultural and language training.

• Served as security liaison between local office, Peace Corps Headquarters, U.S. Embassy Security attaché, Dominican law enforcement and host country nationals.• Coordinated emergency response to ensure the safety of 150+ Volunteers during severe weather and civil unrest.

• Oversaw program development including: project site development, training, assignments, monitoring, report feedback, evaluation and technical support for 14 agriculture volunteers.• Developed localized emergency action plans with community partners, local authorities and regional Forestry & Civil Defense posts.• Facilitated 4 Disaster Preparation & Mitigation trainings focused on risk assessment and community mapping.

• Established Future Farmers of the Dominican Republic pilot project with 300+ Dominican youth trained in small animal husbandry, organic gardening and small business techniques. • Co-chaired the Gender And Development Committee and facilitated annual Domestic Violence Awareness & Parenting conferences. • Raised funds to award US$1000 educational scholarships for rural Dominican women to finish high school and university studies. • Translated Spanish/English for US medical professionals & nursing students treating under served populations in rural clinics.• Facilitated 5 self-defense trainings for prospective Peace Corps Volunteers.
