Resident Advisor Served as a Resident Advisor for 1st year students for two years before becoming the Program Director for "Empowering First", a themed-housing community for first-generation college students. Awards:-Dobbs Society (2022) - Selected as one of five graduating seniors who have demonstrated exemplary leadership during their years as a Resident Advisor. -Academic Program of the Year (2022)- “Emory’s History Against BIPOC People” - Guided a history based campus tour to engage with a holistic version of the university’s relationship with Black and Indigenous peoples throughout history.-Non-Academic Program of the Year (2022)- “Empowering First-Gen Annual Celebration” - Coordinated social event to celebrate First-Gen students accomplishments including free arts & crafts, photo wall, and bachata dance lessons for over 40 students.Key Responsibilities:-Organizing various programs and events for residents to achieve learning goals, such as events for over 300 students-Facilitating small group discussions on how diversity in experiences & cultural backgrounds impact college experience -Enforcing safety guidelines surrounding COVID-19 through compassionate confrontations to maintain healthy environment -Submitted program proposals and reflective evaluations to receive funding and document the events effectiveness -Assisting professor in creating curriculum and organizing events to present opportunities group bonding and learning
