During the fall semester of 2021, I had the opportunity to work as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering in Bloomington, Indiana. In this role, I was responsible for conducting ethnographic research using methods of inquiry such as observations, interviews, and qualitative coding.To ensure ethical research practices, I became CITI Program certified for Social/Behavioral Human Research and Social & Behavioral Responsible Conduct of Research.One of my main responsibilities was assisting with interview transcriptions for a research study that aimed to conceptualize livestream as a design material. Through this experience, I gained valuable research skills and learned how to work effectively as part of a research team.

As a Starbucks barista, I developed my customer service skills by interacting with a wide range of customers on a daily basis. I was responsible for ensuring that each customer's drink was meeting their expectations. Through my experience as a barista, I developed excellent customer service skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. I learned how to multitask effectively and work as part of a team.Overall, being a Starbucks barista was a great experience that taught me a lot about the importance of providing excellent customer service and working with others to ensure customers' needs are met. I worked as an intern at Binford Elementary School. During my time there, I taught students who were learning English as their second language. This was a really cool experience that taught me a lot about how to communicate with people who come from different backgrounds.I taught students who were learning English as their second language. My job was to create lesson plans and activities that helped my students learn English in a way that made sense to them. I worked with other teachers to come up with new ways to help our students succeed. Through this experience, I learned how to be flexible and adapt to different situations. Overall, working at Binford Elementary School was an amazing experience that helped me grow as a person.
