Current•Provide leadership, administrative and managerial direction for the investigation and adjudication of all alleged violations of the NIU Student Code of Conduct, by individuals, groups, and student organizations. •Manage general, academic, and organizational conduct matters reported.•Ensure timely a resolution of student conduct cases which places needs and development of students at the center of the work in the department. •Provide training for all university hearing officers, facilitators and board members who engage in the student conduct process. •Provide training and management for Housing and Residential Services staff who administer housing related conduct cases. •Serve as a member for all behavioral intervention committees. •Establish student intervention for behavioral matters concerning faculty/staff communication as needed. •Development, dissemination, interpretation, and implementation of the Student Code of Conduct and conduct procedures. •Coordinate Student Conduct training and interaction between the Office of Student Conduct and all academic departments, University Police, Housing and Residential Services, Food Services, library, bookstore, intercollegiate athletics, and other departments as appropriate. •Manage and evaluate assessment of Student Conduct programs, cases, and services, to ensure processes are fair and equitable. •Engage in systematic planning and assessment, track trends, generate and analyze reports. Provides metric reports, and uses data to make decisions regarding processes, sanctioning, and trends on campus. •Serve as an educator and resource for prospective students, current students, parents of students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders on NIU’s expectations of students. •Manage over $200,000 budget and financial planning for department•Develop and implement a Restorative Practices process for the campus. •Manage and maintain Maxient as a record keeping database for conduct cases.
