About Joy Moir

I have spent the last 20 years working in sustainability and enjoy building relationships with people and having conversations about the future and how we can all be a part of the solution. I enjoy being out in nature and trying to live well while creating less impact. I enjoy working with businesses that want to have a positive impact, while still being successful. I specialise in providing support, especially in the early days of an organisations sustainability journey. My aim is to help more businesses get off the starting blocks and help them identify their impact priorities. Today, climate change, biodiversity loss, TCFD, Cyclone Gabrielle, resource and time constraints e.t.c can leave us overwhelmed and thus preferring to stay where we are, and avoid making changes. I understand this and have supported organisations by providing a safe space for thinking, planning, acting and achieving. My successes are your successes!• I provide action pathways and solutions • I develop and deliver materiality impact assessments• I help identify innovative and new opportunities• I like to ask challenging questions, I want to understand what is already known and what is not• I want to celebrate good practice and help story tellI have a background in sustainability, energy, operational management, and people development and have been in the sustainability sector for over 15 years and understand business complexities and have implemented countless sustainability initiatives. I care about the environment while being pragmatic. I'm commercially minded, transparent and understand that there is is a business to run, and everything must be viable throughout the whole value chain.
