I am a sophomore public health science student with a deep passion for understanding and addressing public health challenges. My journey into this field has been driven by a realization that many health concerns extend beyond medicine, requiring systemic improvements within our communities. At the University of Maryland, I am dedicated to engaging in extensive research and initiatives that target ongoing public health issues, with a particular focus on enhancing health literacy in underserved populations.As I progress through my undergraduate studies, I remain committed to making meaningful contributions to the field of public health. My experiences have fueled my desire to pursue a master's degree in public health, where I plan to specialize in addressing health disparities. My ultimate goal is to work as a public health specialist, leveraging my expertise to support undervalued communities and individuals from lower socioeconomic backgrounds.
