The role involves working with the business as an integral member of the respective management team. Using relationship building skills to influence and support leaders and managers to become great people managers and deliver the business objectives successfully. • Provide challenge and options at the earliest opportunity to ensure the best outcome for the business• Coach leaders and managers through all elements of their people responsibilities; developing their skills, knowledge and confidence, where required• Work with the leaders to identify strengths and weaknesses and plan appropriate action to deliver the business goals, through: resource planning, development, reward, talent and succession planning• Work with the business to review people and the organisation, to ensure deliverable commercial success in the future• Provide best practice advice on ER issues to minimise risk and provide relevant options• Work closely with the rest of the HR team to provide a seamless operational HR service• Work with the HR leadership team, co-ordinate and manage learning and development • Take ownership and lead HR projects that are outside day-to-day responsibilities, that would deliver ‘best in class’ programmes for MTG• Lead the implementation and delivery of key programmes including appraisals, surveys and annual salary review • Be the ambassador for MTG Values through my own behaviours and through embedding them in the HR projects, processes and guidelines• Design and deliver ‘manager skills’ workshops

• Creating and implementing HR handbook and employee contracts for permanent, freelance and international staff• Proactively involved in the planning of recruitment, interviewing and selection process for all positions across the business• Dealing and handling complex ER issues• Managing any change initiatives and projects• Work closely with all departments to implement policies and procedures in relation to working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management• Provide HR advice to management and employees to support the needs of business by ensuring that all policies and procedures adhere and reflect legal compliance requirements• Proactively involved in the decisions regarding the process of redundancy for all employees • Assist managers in ensuring all departments are running effectively by managing annual leave, appraisals, remuneration packages and exit interviews • Provide each department with annual salary budgets and work with the Board to ensure there is no excess spend• Proactively analyse training needs in conjunction with departmental managers and presenting this to the Board• Implementation of obtaining a Sponsorship Licence for migrant working visas• Management and supervision of Government run Apprenticeship Scheme

• HR support for investigations, counselling, grievances, implementing disciplinary procedures, issuing appropriate letters, filing, interview and exit interviews, administering payroll and maintaining employee records• Support in understanding the areas of change and strategic consulting, performance management, reward management, people development, talent management resourcing and ER/engagement• Coach line managers as appropriate to ensure successful outcomes to their duties• Managing Health and Safety in the workplace including occupational health, risk assessments and ensuring adequate training was given to staff to meet fire, first aid and H&S standards
