Professor Emerita of Counseling/Adjunct Math Faculty. Educator, Coach, Consultant, Mentor passionate about youth and workforce development, and connecting people with community resources and information. I enjoy helping others achieve their goals & employability, build math confidence & skills, and pursue life-long learning to build and improve community. My experience & expertise include academic, career, personal counseling; curriculum/program development & instruction; program coordination & implementation; creating schedules & timelines; recruiting & interviewing; grant-writing and review; pre-college programs; life & academic transitions; international student preparation for higher ed; and technology in education. I have served as STEM advisor, department chair, as associate/acting director of academic advising, as Upward Bound (pre-college program) counseling coordinator and health career programs advisory board member; collaborated with colleagues and community leaders; and have been involved in various planning, coordination, & implementation of programs for student & faculty engagement and development. My colleagues and students would describe me as empathetic & caring, innovative, passionate, resourceful, responsible & trustworthy, with good sense of humor, strong work ethic & ability to maintain positive and proactive attitude when faced with challenges. I assist with STEM/educational programs and fostering innovative strategies in support of student, personal, and professional success.
