Marketing And Communications Executive, Then Freelance Marketing Officer
Bootle
On staff I set up the marketing function from scratch, advising managers and colleagues on brand and media, brought in and trained an assistant, and worked with designers to evolve the existing brand. From there I developed a suite of new printed materials, which included banner stands, flyers, leaflets, a brochure and the Annual Report. I also mentored the assistant, directed our social media campaigns and new strategy, and devised a creative, highly successful, recruitment event campaign. Along with this I achieved extensive radio, TV and regional news coverage, as well as using MailChimp, InDesign and Photoshop to produce flyers and newsletters. On leaving to become freelance I worked one day a week on a major fundraising campaign, creating media opportunities, instigating data acquisition, and working with designers on print and online collateral. I also wrote, sourced, edited, and liaised with a web agency to create the organisation’s new website (www.autisminitiatives.org).
