As long as I can remember, I desired to put pencil to paper, creating whatever came to mind. But, I never thought it would become more than a hobby. I developed an interest in plants later. Landscape design was exactly what I had been looking for. The perfect combination of art and plants. The skills to portray my ideas through hand-drawn sketches and digital materials; while utilizing plant knowledge to add natural aesthetics as well as functional purpose. A Sculptor gives a clump of clay a meaningful form. A Painter guides the paint across the canvas with a brush. A Writer turns black words on white paper into a colorful world with complex people and events. A Landscaper’s medium greatly ranges. His art does not stop at a Master plan. It pushes past the second dimension of papers and screens into our realities. It can shape the human habitat for the better. It takes my passion for art and plants and allows me to help improve the lives of others, this is why I landscape. Thank you for taking time to read my summary.
