With a career spanning diverse musical pursuits, I currently serve as the Artistic Director of OPERANAUTS RDC, a newly established nonprofit association based in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In this role, I am committed to creating cultural experiences through a blend of traditional opera music concerts and semi-staged opera productions. My dedication lies in making opera music accessible to all audiences, fostering an environment where its beauty and healing can be both experienced and enjoyed.My journey into the realm of music began with studies in music theory and orchestration under the guidance of the esteemed Italian conductor, Franco Autori. This foundational education culminated in earning a Master of Music degree in Vocal Arts from the University of Southern California. Further honing my craft, I pursued vocal studies with Joan Patenaude-Yarnell in New York City, an experience that led to invaluable opportunities to perform and collaborate with coaches and conductors from the Metropolitan Opera during my time in Italy.Beyond performance, I am deeply invested in passing on my knowledge and passion for music to the next generation of lyric artists. Over the years, I have served as a Voice Teacher in various educational settings, including private high schools, community music schools, music conservatories, and university voice departments. My commitment to nurturing talent has extended to adjudicating state and national-level voice auditions and choir competitions, both domestically in Oklahoma and New Jersey and internationally in Sri Lanka.In 2008, recognizing the need for tailored guidance in vocal preparation, I established a private voice studio catering to adult and young professional singers. Through personalized instruction and mentorship, I strive to empower emerging artists as they navigate auditions and concerts, equipping them with the skills and confidence necessary for success in the competitive world of opera music performance.Driven by a profound love for the art form and a desire to enrich communities through music, I continue to push boundaries and explore innovative avenues for artistic expression as the Artistic Director of OPERANAUTS RDC.
