Upon graduating Mortuary School, I began my apprenticeship as approved by the state at the end of September 2023. I assist the director in day to day tasks such as paperwork, emails and phone calls. I also go on transfers and embalm with proctoring done by my master. I meet with families, make funeral arrangements and do various tasks that coincide with that under the supervision of my master. I am on call in rotation with the director/embalmer at my firm.

I assist in day to day operations at the firm such as paperwork, cleaning and preparation. I take calls and answer emails. I assist families when appropriate.

During this role I edited cover letters and resumes for students. My speciality was editing the personal statement, typically for various master programs that students were pursuing. I also did some work with Microsoft.

I assisted students with scheduling writing center, tutoring and supplemental instruction appointments. I also created flyers and various posts in Canva for the Academic Success social media pages. I completed various day to day tasks such as cleaning the space, answering phone calls and checking the email. I also did some scheduling work through Tutortrac.
