I am currently a retired science teacher from the largest school district in Arkansas. I have a life time certificate in which I am certified to teach middle school science, social studies, and ESL. I served on our district's core Leadership Team, and attended Arkansas Teacher's Institute in building Planning. I grew up, in Florida. I married my High School sweetheart (military man) and saw the world. I have seen a space shuttle launch, flown solo in an airplane, ran a marathon in Orlando, hiked the Smokey Mountains, and ate homemade bread with the Amish in Pennsylvania. I was entranced by the Hope Diamond, read the original Declaration of Independence, toured the Statue of Liberty, bought silver in Mexico, played poker in Vegas, got my kicks on route 66 in Arizona, ate Pineapple in Hawaii, visited the Grand Canyon, skied the Rockies, listened to jazz in New Orleans, sipped sweet tea at a plantation home in Mississippi, shopped in the Mall of America, climbed the arch in St. Louis, fed swans in South Carolina, ate steak in Kansas, walked on the London Bridge, stood in the center of Stonehenge, skied the Swiss Alps, climbed the Tower of Pisa, road in a gondola in Venice, toured the Sistine Chapel, marveled at the statue of David, looked into the eyes of the Mona Lisa, visited a king's chamber at Versailles, stood on the top of the Eiffel Tower, learned to cook from a chef in France, tried on wooden shoes in Holland, saw Mozart's home in Austria, said a prayer at Dacha, Germany, cruised the Rhine River, picked up a piece of the Berlin Wall, snorkeled the Great Barrier reef, saw "Fiddler on the Roof" at the Opera House in Sydney Australia, spent one night in Bangkok, bought pearls in Hong Kong, touched a glacier in New Zealand, ate dinner on a beach in Fiji, sampled chocolate in Belgium, kissed the Blarney Stone in Ireland, and relaxed on the beaches of Cozumel. My youngest daughter completed her 15th Ironman in Kona, and my eldest daughter is now living in Spain. I enjoy life, and I see my glass is always half full.
