My desire as a school counselor stems from the deep belief that one individual who takes an interest in a young person’s life can change the trajectory of their future. Nurturing dreams and infusing positivity into students’ lives is a gift that I am paying forward, as I personally benefited from invested school counselors during my formative school years. Truly, the best thing a counselor can often do for her students is to lend a listening ear, as they navigate personal challenges while seeking to understand an ever-evolving world.I am passionate about being an advocate for the academic, emotional, and social growth and development of our next generation. My work is grounded in community, diversity, and social justice, and it is my professional goal to provide a safe and welcoming environment conducive to learning for students of all cultures and walks of life. I consider it my duty and privilege to safeguard the well-being of the students entrusted in my care.In my role as a school counselor, I have provided countless individual counseling sessions, as well as group interventions, focusing primarily on the behavioral and socio-emotional skills of the student population.
