Joyce first began her career as a Manager in Corporate Sales and Marketing at a premier hotel chain in Los Angeles, CA before she took the opportunity to join the “test-prep” industry in 1993. Since then, she has built her unparalleled experience as Program Director of Kent Prep (aka Bayside Academy) a 21-year old institution that has successfully upheld its reputation for providing the lead academic prep and consultation services. In working with a demanding market of families living in some of the most academically driven and competitive areas in New York and around the world, (mostly from Seoul, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Beijing), she is currently serving as a liaison in networking her students to one another and to private and boarding schools in the east coast areas in US from around the world. In 2006, she founded a residential program, which took place on renown campuses such as Tufts University in Boston, MA, that took her methodology of academic preparation a step further by encompassing her training as a certified Children's Etiquette Consultant as tools to help students recognize, develop, and exercise their strengths, to better understand world around them. She coaches students as they pursue admission into the top tier schools as well as their future profiles as global leaders. She is a strong advocate in fostering "Emotional Intelligence" to intellectually gifted students (Six Seconds - EQ Nexus Conference participant) in her capacity as a business woman, educator and a mother of three children.

This golf resort located close proximity to Downtown Los Angeles attracted many oversea corportate clients from Seoul, Hong Kong and Tokyo. As an Asian Marketing Manager, Joyce traveled and conducted sales calls to coordinate company's events and educational tours as meeting planner. Her tri-lingual communication skills and deep understanding of cultural differences prompted her to work closely with the General Manager at the time as Hotel liaison and established and secured many new accounts for the Hotel with companies such as : KPMG, Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, JAL, Samsung, LG, Nikko Bank, Doosan IBM, Eco Lab, Toast Masters.

During her years in college, Joyce worked as Sales Coordinator, organizing and working directly with the field managers bringing in clients from JTB and other boutique travel agents dealing with VIP Japanese corporate accounts. Made sales calls and attended POW WOW's in various nationwide metropolitan cities to meet with event planners - KPMG, Toastmaster, GE, etc.. From this position, she was recruited to another franchise golf resort property as Sales and Marketing Manager.
