With over 25 years of experience in pathology and forensic medicine, I am honored to serve as the Dean of the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University since Feb 2024. I am passionate about advancing medical education, research, and service, and I bring a wealth of expertise and leadership skills to this role. Previously, I was the founding Chair of the Department of Pathology at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine, where I spearheaded the expansion of the Medical Examiner program, the creation of new divisions and laboratories, and the development of a willed body program. I also served as a Medical Examiner for 12 counties in Michigan, and as a member of the federal mass fatality team. I have been recognized as a fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, and as a president of the National and Michigan Associations of Medical Examiners. My work experience demonstrates my ability to strategically manage resources, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and represent medical organizations at the highest level.
