This responsibility is carried out through accurate coding and programming the user-controlled system parameters known as DATAINS, SPITABS, SYSINS, SCF and SCC, communication with CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services), EDS (Electronic Data Systems), MCS (Multi-Carrier Systems), User Group, CWF (Common Working File), the EDS Data Center, Medicare IS Staff and Medicare Operational Management and staff in Topeka. Responsible for identifying, researching, documenting, reporting, monitoring and verifying system problems and their resolution. Responsible for coordinating, testing and documenting system releases, fixes, and enhancements in accordance with CMS guidelines.
