I oversee the day to day implementation and administration of T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® MISSISSIPPI. I collaborate with state and local agencies, community colleges and universities, and early childhood programs to implement T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® MISSISSIPPI. I coordinate public relations and outreach efforts to recruit applicants and sponsoring programs and advocate for T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® MISSISSIPPI. I also collect and maintain essential project records, including files for each participant and statistics related to the operation of the project, maintain financial records and secure adequate information to make appropriate payments to T.E.A.C.H. recipients, sponsors, and community colleges.

I provide teacher coaching, modeling, professional development and small/large group instruction to teachers and students in the area of Reading, Language Arts, Math and Science. I also provide early childhood staff development training, review/write curriculum, attend and facilitate meetings and assist the following early childhood programs/facilities: Center for Education Innovation-meet monthly with Delta Daycare Partnership Group in Greenville,and provide high quality staff development to daycares that are members of the partnership; attend meetings/conferences as assigned, promote the goals and mission of the center. Baby Steps Inc/Early Childhood Alliance.-Write early childhood curriculum and parent modules for the early childhood centers and the Okolona School District, facilitate parent hand-on/make-take sessions, facilitate community leaders, parents, early childcare, pre-k and kindergarten teachers collaborative alliance sessions, facilitate curriculum sessions for daycare providers, and facilitate sessions for kindergarten, first and second grade teachers in the Okolona School District by providing developmentally appropriate strategies to ensure quality teaching and learning for preschoolers and first and second graders. Mississippi Department of Education-Served as Pre-K Textbook Adoption Committee Member - Worked with colleagues to determine developmentally appropriate texts for the early childhood division for the state of Mississippi. Served as Kindergarten Guidelines Reviewer -reviewed and made recommendations for information to be retained or deleted from the state kindergarten guidelines

Evaluate school sites labeled "At-Risk," discuss and review data with principals and superintendents, provide assistance in writing action plans, attend and present findings to school boards and communities.

Taught kindergarten and first grade (self-contained) through the looping process; worked successfully with the exceptional education teachers as the inclusion teacher at the kindergarten level, served on the Teacher Support Team, served as Team Leader, Community Involvement Chairperson, Open House Coordinator, Read Across America Chairperson and have team taught through a program entitled Operation Parachute. Taught fifth grade reading, third grade and second grade all subjects; served on the Superintendent's Site Council and served as an education member of

Instructed students in the area of reading and math with one on one help and small groups; provided assistance to the lead teacher as needed and worked in other areas of the school as needed.
