My project involved developing and optimising an assay for the quantification of ALDH activity in human erythrocytes, and to use this to determine the range of activity in a healthy population compared to a population of cancer patients.

My main task was to assist students in carrying out their assigned experiments. This involved: · Ensuring students understood the pharmacological background behind their experiments · Assisting with various laboratory tasks · Assisting lab technicians with set up of equipment

My primary role was to reinforce understanding of information covered in lectures, as well as being the first point of contact for students with questions regarding the course. As part of my post, my responsibilities included giving presentations after lectures to cover questions posed by students, as well as marking assignments and exams
