Community Clinical Pharmacist
Current• Engages deep therapeutic and scientific knowledge in the areas of Cardiology, Endocrinology, Geriatrics, infectious diseases and Respiratory Disease to dispense up to 300 prescription medications each day within fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy environments• Calls on strong communication and relationship building skills to educate patients regarding the appropriate storage, dosage, and use of prescription and non-prescription medication including over the counter (OTC) drugs, optimizing treatment efficacy and facilitating patient compliance with treatment regimens• Nurtures collaborative relationships with physicians by providing pharmacological expertise that helps ensure patient safety, use of cost-effective options, and a more comprehensive clinical picture of patient health status • Troubleshoots third party discrepancies and triages any problems concerning patient medications, such as therapy duplications and non-covered or out of stock medications, improving pharmacy efficiency and patient satisfaction• Administers all CDC recommended immunizations, supporting community health initiatives and educating patients regarding preventative care • Utilizes adaptability, conflict resolution skill, and ability to focus on what matters most to work with diverse team members across the Southeast District, constantly flexing to meet the needs of new patients and communities
