Jennifer Gilby, MD is currently the only phsician at this location with myself, Jill Miller ARNP and Kat Ambler CNM. We provide a full scope of women's healthcare including obstetrics and gynecology. We offer well women exams, weight management, infertility, contraceptive advice, hormone replacement therapy for perimenopausal women, urodynamics and pelvic floor therapy. Our deliveries are at Baby Place at Bayfront Medical Center/ All Children's Hospital. Dr Gilby offers in-office corrective surgery. Diagnostic ultrasound is available on site. Dr Gilby purchased the equipment from Dr Bart's former office, and took over the patient records from that office and Caring for Women, as well. The patient charts have been incorporated into the electronic medical record system at this new office.She also purchased the building on 5th Avenue. That building will open as a satellite office for Absolute Health and Wellness in the spring of 2015. Office space will be shared with Kay Abdullah, MD, breast surgeon, where we will refer our patients with abnormal mammograms. It is expected that 1-2 more female OB/GYN MD's will be joining our preactice soon.

When my supervising physicians-Deborah Bart MD and John Gerber MD unexpectedly retired in 2008 after 12 years of employment with them at our OB/GYN office, I purchased the equipment, changed the tax ID and kept on the employees at the same location as owner and sole provider at Caring for women of Pinellas, LLC. James LaPolla,MD, across town became my supervising physician off site. We provided gynecology care for women from teen to seniors, many of whom had been our patients in the prior practice. I personally took the responisbility of filing claims after negotiating the contracts with all major insurance companies, and many minor ones. These included Medicare, Blue Cross, Tricare, Aetna, Humana and Cigna. We were the only in-network gynecology office in the county for Freedom Health. With face to face consultation under Dr LaPolla, who is a gynecology-oncologist, I was able expand my diagnostic skills, knowledge base and in office procedural skills to include the treatment of women with minor abnormalities of the genital tract.
