My responsibilities include making sure that the files we receive are print ready. That there the right size, that there's correct amount of bleed, fonts are correct and also the right color, if it's 4C or 4C with spot or 2C. And also checking to see if the image are high res. After the files are ready, then they are sent to the proofing system. Plotters are then cut out and folded to size and color proofs are then sent to the customer for there OK.

I get the customers files ready for printing. Using such programs as Illustrator, Indesign, QuarkXPress, PDF's & Photoshop. Making sure that there's enough bleed, fold marks are included, images are linked up. Also troubleshooting customer's files so that they are print ready.

Started out as a Proof Reader then to Typesetter and Markup Person, then to Paste Up, then finally to EPP Operator. I was in charge of setting up the formats for customers using the old system to using the new Mac system. Also had to write up procedure on doing certain jobs.
