Maintain disposable supply inventory for providing patient care; stock and order all other department supplies. Verify receipt of same. Yearly review of department Charge Master to verify correct CPT and Intermediate Product coding for proper insurance reimbursement. Maintain and order medical gas inventory for Respiratory Care, Anesthesia, OR, Endoscopy and off site TLC unit and Hyperbaric Therapy. Process orders for medical equipment as needed. Review for accuracy and code for payment bills for rental equipment, medical gas cylinders and liquid oxygen. Alpha-Numeric data entry billing of in and out patient procedures via Meditech. Create and update Excel spreadsheets on cylinder balances, equipment rentals and the Charge Master average disposable supply costs. Medical transcription of Pulmonary physician's patient progress notes and interpretation of overnight oximetry and sleep studies. Schedule meetings; document department meeting minutes; receptionist for out-patient testing, sales representatives, physicians and hospital staff; schedule tests and procedures. Routine office duties: phone, new patient physician orders and STAT orders relayed to therapist in charge of area; mail; FAX; copier; Internet; check requests; petty cash vouchers and purchase requisitions.
