Manage medical information and communication for Renal Therapeutic Area and provide responses to medical inquires from internal and external customers. Oversee and ensure successful completion of global Medical Communications operational objectives. Contribute to Medical Communications strategy and ensure execution of activities in accordance with the departmental operational model and expectations while meeting appropriate legal, regulatory and corporate requirements. Serve as key Medical Communications representative in support of commercial activities related to Renal Therapeutic Area. Serve as Medical Information reviewer in the review of promotional materials and promotional concept discussions. Coordinates resources to support this activity and provides guidance and direction to direct reports in the management of complex or escalated issues. Developed Medical Affairs Guidance documents in support of business objectives. Provide guidance and oversight in planning, development, and maintenance of key medical communications documents, including Standard Response Documents, Standard Verbal Response Documents, Medical Slides, Managed Care/Reimbursement Submissions, and Data on File. Oversee development and maintenance of electronic platforms to ensure appropriate content and access to Medical Communications documents. Direct support for the Call Center through training, monitoring inquiries, and managing escalated inquiries by ensuring prompt, accurate responses to medical/scientific/technical information requests from healthcare professionals and patients. Plan, coordinate, and conduct training programs for Shire internal departments and external vendors related to product, disease state, systems, or process/compliance.

Serve as Medical expert on the Oncology Product Disease Review Committee for review and approval of branded promotional materials, including detail aides, journal advertisements, product websites, e-promotions, and sales training materials. Work closely with key members of internal departments including Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Sales, and Marketing to provide medical support for development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of ongoing medically–related activities regarding branded products. Manage medical information and communication for Oncology branded products by providing prompt, accurate, and scientifically and medically balanced responses to medically-related inquires to internal and external customers.

Served as Medical Information expert on the Pain/Addiction Product Disease Review Committee for review and approval of branded promotional materials, including detail aides, journal advertisements, product websites, e-promotions, and sales training materials. Work closely with key members of internal departments including Regulatory Affairs, Legal, Sales, and Marketing to provide medical support for development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of ongoing medically–related activities regarding branded products.
