At Asia Community Foundation, Joyce oversees the grantmaking and nonprofit partnerships team and operations of the Foundation. With her background in the donor-advised funds management and collaborative giving, she contributes her experience in grantmaking and donor advisory to unlock the latent potential of philanthropy and build collaborative partnerships across different stakeholders to address pressing needs in Asia.

As a new business unit, the Centre for Applied Philanthropy seeks to expand CFS’s strategic role as a catalyst, convenor, steward in the philanthropic ecosystem, as the philanthropic ecosystem evolves in the shift from traditional giving to impactful social investing. CAP aims to provide a new wave of thought leadership to tackle critical gaps in philanthropy in Singapore by addressing evolving donor behavior and aspirations in giving, providing insights to effective use of philanthropic monies and collaboratively achieve meaningful social impact in the community.- Lead and provide strategic direction to the team in setting up the Centre for Applied Philanthropy.- Establish the consultancy arm of CAP to provide a suite of tailored philanthropy advisory services for donors, foundations and corporates.- Oversee the research arm of CAP in consolidating research insights to display thought leadership in the philanthropy space.- Collaborate with partners to translate the research on social issues into innovative solutions thus enabling philanthropy to be effective in addressing unmet needs in Singapore.- Build and maintain relationships with donors, charities and public agencies to grow CFS as Singapore premiere donor-advised fund nonprofit organization and as a collaborative giving expert.

Strategic and Programmatic Leadership- Oversee in the development and implementation of CFS strategic focus areas in community philanthropy vis-a-vis donor advised funds and collective giving initiatives.- Provide leadership in the development of new and ongoing donor management approaches, strategies and tactics to achieve the long-term objectives of CFS.- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the philanthropy (individual and corporate donor relations, donor engagement and stewardship) and grantmaking functions.- Ensure the effective integration of CFS impact areas programs with donor giving plans and the endowment.- Head the Philanthropy & Grants team which oversees donor relations and engagement as well as curation of programmes and charities for donor support.- Provide donor advisory services, in particular developing philanthropy strategies and giving plans, for major individual and corporate donors. - Support the legacy giving team to engage current donors and charities towards planned giving.Operational Sustainability- Manage and cultivate relationships with strategic stakeholders such as community, government, and corporate funders to secure and expand CFS revenue streams.- Partner with CEO in the external role of continuing to grow a strong brand that positions CFS as Singapore premiere donor-advised fund organization and as a collaborative giving expert. - Develop and monitor program plans aligned with departmental plans to meet annual and long-term strategic organizational objectives.

- Provide programmatic leadership and input for all strategic plan implementation processes with the CEO and staff. Coach team members as they service and design appropriate approach to implement corporate giving for companies and philanthropic giving for individual donor accounts above S$1 million. - Support the team in developing an annual budget and business plans to achieve CFS objectives as well as ensuring services are in compliance with charity governance standards and requirements. - Analyze the current technology infrastructure and scope out the next level of IT and financial systems that support the growth of CFS donor services and the organization overall.- Maintain and strengthen a web-based donor records system of confidential data to record a history of giving and to serve as a tool for donor engagement and grantmaking efficiency.- Identify and manage risks through appropriate risk mitigation strategies.

Programmes & Grantmaking- Develop and manage innovative and impactful community programmes and match them to the charitable interests of donors. - Build and cultivate relationships between donors and charitable agencies to support unmet needs in the community.- Perform due diligence on charities and administer the grantmaking on behalf of donors. It also includes monitoring the programmes and providing progress reports to donors.Donor Relations & Donor Education- In charge of formulating ideas, marketing strategies and programmes that will strategically enhance the areas of donor fund development and donor education.- Organise CFS key donor events e.g. Philanthropy Symposium, Philanthropy in Asia Summit and regular donor site visits and learning journeys to charities.

- Work closely with Management to create and drive CSR programmes within the APAC offices. Execute and roll out CSR efforts across different business units.- Spearhead and lead community management projects such as environmental friendly campaigns, donation drives and employee volunteer programmes. - Promote and administer all grants given out by the Foundation in the Asia Pacific region. This included managing employee volunteer grants and promoting product grants to nonprofits.- Understand the company's business objectives and recommend appropriate CSR programmes to build a strong and positive reputation and branding in the market.1% Time- Organize and facilitate employee volunteer programmes ensuring regular volunteer activities takes place in the respective offices. Develop and cultivate sustained partnerships with nonprofits in order to creat greater impact.1% Product Donation- Administer and manage the grantmaking process of Salesforce.com CRM Product Donation programme. Customise and present product demo to interested non-profits. Help nonprofit implement and use Salesforce successfully so they can achieve their social mission.1% Equity- Promote and administer all grants and grantmaking process undertaken by the Foundation in the Asia Pacific region. This included internal employee grants and external grants to nonprofits.One with the Earth- Develop and lead green initiatives to offset the Salesforce.com carbon footprint – kickstart and co-ordinate the first global Earthweek in 2008 to create awareness in all APAC offices.

- In-charge of strategising and leading initiatives that develop and promote volunteerism and philanthropy with corporations, community groups and nonprofits. Some key initiatives are ComCare Connections, President’s Challenge 2006, Corporate Volunteering programmes.- Create awareness of the diversity of volunteer opportunities, promoting NVPC’s services and motivating individuals and corporations towards towards active volunteerism, for example AmChams Volunteer Day, Family Volunteer Camp and International Volunteer Day.- Project Manager for the conceptualisation and development of CIP Central which is a website with online resources that are dedicated to help students and teachers achieve a more meaningful and interesting CIP (Community Involvement Programme) experience.

- Plan, organise and facilitate the People’s Association’s National Education programmes/activities to ensure that they support national efforts to create greater Singaporean identity and sense of belonging to the nation. Organised the Prime Minister’s Dialogues, Prime Minister’s Reception for Private Sector and PA Conference.- Organise programmes/activities to promote greater awareness on the importance of racial harmony amongst the different cultures in Singapore. Conceptualised a Racial Harmony DVD that was used in overseas Singapore Day and local grassroots activities. - Establish close partnership with other government agencies on national projects such as the President’s Challenge and Total Defence Day celebrations.- Facilitate sessions in workshops and retreats as part of the Learning Organisation Development Unit to develop staff’s leadership skills and personal development.
