Though I still dabble as a freelancer, delivering and managing projects/performances, my main employment involves running my company Vivace Theatre School based in Glasgow city centre. I started the company in March 2003 running two small classes per week. Since then the school has expanded considerably running 18 classes per week, hiring studio space to other arts organisations and organising castings for our young people. We also have an outreach team and work with schools, nurseries, youth groups, young offenders and many other client groups.My duties include developing partnerships with organisations, designing and developing new projects for schools and community groups and training staff on the delivery, delivering singing classes, coordinating timetable and staffing, support staff in the delivery of the curriculum and liaise with the examining bodies (LAMDA & LCM), day to day admin, marketing, coordinating studio hire, overseeing all aspects of the various casts performances including technical requirements, advertising, ticket sales, costume, props and set.It is a challenging but very rewarding role!

I joined The Sound Lab at a time when their funding was coming to an end. I was responsible for securing new funding for core classes, networking and promoting the charity, recruiting and coordinating volunteers, supporting staff and feeding back to the Management Committee.

I was employed to initiate, design and manage a diverse range of arts education initiatives and projects for schools and their wider communities. My role involved partnership working with other council departments, businesses and national organisations. I was also responsible for fundraising.
